Three Books of Verse
Poetry by Zoom. 15 March at 4.30pm
This year we celebrate the 70th anniversary of the publication of ‘A Few Late Chrysanthemums’ and ‘Poems in the Porch’ in 1954 and the 50th anniversary of the publication of ‘A Nip in the Air’, all three volumes containing some of JB’s most memorable verses. So via Zoom an informal meeting to share favourite poems and listen to fellow members reading these and discussing what is so memorable about them. Lasting about an hour it will also be a chance to learn about how these volumes came to be published and celebrate their place in JB’s much loved poetry.
