DONATIONS
Alternatively, if membership is not for you but you would like to support our work, we do offer the option to simply donate. Anything, no matter how small, helps us to continue to run our organisation and our programme of events.
Gift Aid
Gift Aid is a tax relief scheme that allows charities to claim 25% of the tax already paid on all eligible donations made by a UK taxpayer. This means you can increase your donation to us by an extra 25% at no extra cost to you. So for example, if you donate £10, this becomes £12.50 with Gift Aid.
You can download a gift aid form here.
New members are always welcome
NOTE: You can scroll down and join online. But you can also join via the old fashioned offline way by filling out and sending back our membership form. Please download a copy of our application form here, and it would be of great help to us if you could also download and complete the gift aid form too.
Existing members
Existing members can also renew their subscriptions here.
Members benefit from receiving our annual publication, The Betjemanian, our regular newsletters and reduced price entry to our events. Please contact us if you have any questions prior to joining.
Those wishing to join the Society may do so in one of three ways:
-
Through PayPal – scroll down – you may pay using a credit card and do not need a PayPal account to complete the transaction;
-
By downloading and completing a Bank Standing Order (the preferred method). You are in charge of a Standing Order, and can cancel or amend it through your Bank;
-
By sending a cheque for the applicable amount to the Membership Secretary. Cheques should be payable to “The Betjeman Society”.
You can join online by filling in this form:
Or just download the membership form (and bank standing order or cheque and gift aid form if applicable) and send to:
