Congratulations to Bevis Hillier, President of the Betjeman Society, on his 80th birthday. What a wonderful achievement.
As well as being the author of the biography of John Betjeman and a life long supporter of his work, he also popularised the name Art Deco in the 1980’s. As President of the Society he has provided encouragement, interest, humour and well prepared speeches that are a joy to hear . His contribution to the learned Society Journal, The Betjemanian and other writing is significant and continues to be read with pride and delight. Happy 80th Birthday and thank you for your continued support for the Society.
