You don’t have to delve far into the works of John Betjeman to discover how much he admired and loved the work of Wren. He wrote extensively about St Paul’s Cathedral and especially his City churches and produced the Pitkin Guide to the City of London Churches . He also campaigned to protect the area around St Paul’s from what he saw as inappropriate development.
