Book now for the forthcoming talk by Dr Daisy Dunn

Now that Spring is here (really?) this is to remind you that we have Dr Daisy Dunn talking to us about her research behind her book, published last year Not far from Brideshead – Oxford between the wars which was much acclaimed by critics in their reviews. JB features prominently as you would expect, and we may anticipate many insights into this formative period for JB.
The event takes place on Tuesday 16 May at the Grosvenor Chapel, 24 South Audley Street, London W1K 2PA 5.00pm for 5.30pm
We still have places left so please support the event! Booking is via  https:/www.betjemansociety.com/eventscalendar/
It is also an opportunity to see the recently installed plaque commemorating the ‘Mistress’ as portrayed in JB’s poem ‘Lenten Thoughts of a High Church Anglican’. You can also sit in the pew JB habitually occupied when attending service! The plaque has the poem in full and is appropriately ‘high church’.
Also if you have not renewed for 2023 you can do so using the membership form on our website. We have revised it so that the form can be used for members and renewals. Please consider creating a standing order if you can – it saves so much time and is more reliable than cheques in the post!
